Welcome to First Grade

Our first graders welcomed the kindergarteners today.  They were so excited to show off our classroom and be the teacher to the younger kids.  I cannot believe the time is coming for my precious kids to become 2nd graders.  This year has been amazing, and I will hold each one in my heart as I apprehensively watch them move on to the next grade level and welcome in the little faces I saw today.  I love my job.  I am so blessed.  Thank you for sharing your kids with me!

They Shine On

My kids are not just my students.  They are my heart.  Their happiness is my happiness.  Their smiles are my smiles.  Their sunshine is my sunshine!  As we are coming up on the last month of school I cannot believe the year is coming to an end.  It has been an amazing year.  They have grown so much.  There are so many successes to celebrate.  They should feel so proud of their achievement and growth.  They have worked so hard.  I love your kids.  I treasure every day I have with them as we are finishing this year.  Thank you for sharing them with me!

It is National Library Week.  Books are a wealth of information and a gateway to imagination.  When you read you open up your mind to growth and learning.  

Please spend some time reading with your child and treasure every moment.  As a mom as well as a teacher life is too short and my kids are growing up too fast.  I want to hold on to all the times I sit with my Jack and Mace listening to them read and enjoying their love for books.  I love watching them fill their minds with endless words.   I love sharing it with your kids too!  ~Warms my heart~

Egg Drop 2015

We had an egg drop this week.  The kids received select items to build a protective case for their egg.  We had two successful drops with giddy, giddy groups of kids!  A lot of screaming and excitement!!!  We also had a few cracks along the way, but all in all we had a blast!
