Our Week

 

 

We finished our Oviparous Unit and moved on to farms.  The kids had a lot of fun creating their farm books.  

 

I was super proud of them, but it was nothing compared to how proud they were of themselves.  So rewarding to watch!!!

 

We are moving on to zoo animals this upcoming week.  Lions, tigers and bears OH MY!   

She is HERE!

We have been waiting for 2 weeks and the time has finally come.  Our beautiful butterfly is here.  We took a trip around the school to show her off.  Then we went to 3rd grade to Mrs. Twining's class and her 3rd graders helped us in their garden let her go.  What a miracle the transformation is!!!

BUGS!

We ended our bug unit going on a bug hunt!  We made Bug Binoculars and Bug Hats and off we went! We found ants, spiders, worms and butterflies.  We visited the school garden to get more food for our caterpillar.  We have a caterpillar and a chrysalis.   We are awaiting the arrival of a beautiful butterfly!  

A NEW RECORD

 

Every day our Letter Builder picks a new letter and we think of as many words as we can for that letter sound.  The kids get WOW points when they come up with 2 words with the same sound (BIG BROTHER!). Today was a new record for how many words we came up with.  They were ESTATIC!!!  Even though our names changed to Brs. Boberts, Brs. BcGuill and Brs. Bunt we still laughed and had fun!

Makes My Heart Happy

 

I love how he loves his job so much he sleeps with it!!!!  He does so well every week with his job.  Mama says he is an amazing helper at home too.  

 

  

I love how she wears flowers when we study them!  She makes me sooooo happy!!!  I love her personality.  She is a true gem!

 

    

I am so in love with these smiles and my kids!  What an awesome group of kiddos.  Thank you for sharing them with me.  I am so grateful and so very blessed!!!

Spring Has Sprung

 

We have been planting and gardening.  The kids are so excited to see their seeds grow.  We made a garden of all our vegetables.  We made worms and flowers for our class bulletin board.  It has been a super fun unit! 

This week we are starting INSECTS!  I love all insects/bugs.... all except cockroaches that is.  It is so interesting to learn all about them.  

Please remember to turn in your summer school applications to me ASAP.  They are due to me by April 10th, so I can get them to the district office.  If you are not sending your child please send me a note so I know they will not attend.  What a blessing it has been to teach your kids!
